My client one of London's most prestigious and elite hedge funds is currently looking for entry level quants to join their research and development team.

They are looking for a junior quant to come onboard to join their team to contribute to the analysis of their trading algorithms.

This is not a pure development role, however the team is built of quants and developers, working in tandem to develop results.

The ideal candidate should however should be very comfortable using IT as a tool and have some experience of programming.

Financial experience is a plus but is not a must.

The requirements are :-

At least AAB at A-Level or equivalent
2-1 or 1st from top 5 University in a mathematical subject
Some exposure to programming
Hard working and exceptionally bright
Additional qualities they are keen on are:-

C++, C# or Java experience
Financial Experience or Background Reading

Duties and Accountabilities

• Liaise with European companies to clarify their dividend policy and dividend payment schedules.

• Perform financial and ratio analysis on European equities for the purpose of forecasting dividend payments.

• Assist in the provision of dividend related news and commentary on European equities.

• Respond to client queries and provide detailed analysis in a timely manner.

• Understand and apply corporate action adjustments on stock and company level data.

• Carry out various QA checks on data

Business Competencies

• A Finance related degree of equivalent.

• Fluency in French plus another continental European language

• Knowledge of Financial Markets and Corporate Actions.

Duties and Accountabilities

On-boarding and support for clients of Markit Trade Processing’s Tie-Out, Confirmation and Portfolio Reconciliation products
Working with new clients during on-boarding process to ensure they move into production quickly and efficiently
Providing ongoing support to clients once in production
Monitoring client query queues and working with internal groups to provide resolution
Responding to clients’ requests by providing detailed analysis and feedback
Providing training to clients on MTP products
